William Brown (New Zealand)

William Brown (1809 – 1898) was a 19th century New Zealand politician.

He became the Member of Parliament in the 1st Parliament for the City of Auckland from 4 August 1854, when he replaced Thomas Houghton Bartley, who had resigned.

He retired on 15 September 1855 at the end of the first Parliament, and did not seek re-election.

He was a business partner of Sir John Logan Campbell.
