- Alcinda Abreu
Alcinda António de Abreu (born 1953) is a political figure in
Mozambique . She was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2005 to 2008 and is currently Minister of the Environment.Abreu was active in the Mozambique Youth Association and served as its Deputy Secretary-General in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was Minister of Social Welfare from 1994 to 1997. Abreu was appointed by
FRELIMO as a member of the National Elections Commissions (CNEs) responsible for organizing the 1998 municipal elections and the 1999 general election. At FRELIMO's 2002 congress, she was elected to the party's 15-member Political Committee.
