Peter Hide (born 1944,
Surrey ) is an English born abstract sculptor, a pupil of SirAnthony Caro who was known for his welded-steel sculpture.He has worked in the assembled sculpture tradition of
Pablo Picasso , David Smith and Anthony Caro. Hide is represented in many private and public collections throughoutNorth America andEurope and currently makes his home inEdmonton, Alberta , where he teaches at theUniversity of Alberta .Some of Hide's students from Univ. of Alberta have gone on to continue the tradition of welded steel sculpture. These include
Royden Mills , Ryan McCourt, Rob Willms,Andrew French , Linda Maines, and Tanya Wood.External links
