A.S. Junior Pallacanestro Casale (2011- )Mustafadeen "Mustafa" Abdush Shakur (born August 18, 1984 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American professional basketball player for A.S. Junior Pallacanestro Casale in Italy. He was not drafted by an NBA team, but he signed with and was subsequently released by the Sacramento Kings, before playing in any NBA regular season games.[1] Shakur was previously a college basketball point guard for the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team.

College
Mustafa Shakur started all but two games during his 4-year tenure with Arizona. As a freshman, Shakur received all freshman honors in the Pac-10. Shakur's teammates at Arizona included Andre Iguodala, Salim Stoudamire, Channing Frye, Hassan Adams, Marcus WIlliams, Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger. As a sophomore Arizona captured the Pac-10 title and lost in to Illinois in the Elite Eight.
Shakur led Arizona to a 5-0 record on an international tour of Canada over the Labor Day Weekend in Vancouver. He also led Arizona to a top ranking in the nation when Arizona held a 12-1 record.
Professional
Shakur was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Sacramento Kings July 6, 2007.[2] He participated in the 2007 NBA Las Vegas Summer League and ranked 4th in assists per game with 6.0.[3] However, Shakur was released by the Kings after the first opening season game vs New Orleans. Shakur was signed to play in the 2009 NBA Summer League for the VAR Los Angeles Lakers.
On November 5, 2009, Shakur was drafted by the Tulsa 66ers as the first pick in the second round of the National Basketball Development League Draft.[4]
On March 14, 2010, Shakur was called up to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 10-day contract, but never appeared in a game for them. He then returned to his previous D-League team, the Tulsa 66ers. On March 31, 2010 the Oklahoma City Thunder re-signed Shakur.[5]
On August 23, 2010, the New Orleans Hornets signed Shakur to a partially guaranteed deal.[6] However he did not make the final roster.
Shakur was reinvited to play for Tulsa, but was traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
On January 22, 2011, Shakur signed a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards.[7] He made his NBA debut on the same day.
Europe
Shakur spent the 2007-08 season with the Euroleague club Prokom Trefl Sopot where he won the Polish National Championship as well as the Polish Supercup. He was then signed by the Euroleague club TAU Cerámica in mid-September 2008.[8] Shakur joined the HEBA A1 club Panellinios BC in January 2009,[9][10] where he was re-united with former Arizona Wildcat teammate Ivan Radenovic.
In June 2011 he signed with French pro club Pau-Orthez.[11]
