Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya

Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya

Jaibhan Singh Pawiya became the second president of the Bajrang Dal in India after Vinay Katiyar and was succeeded by physician Surendra Jain. Pawiya, a full time pracharak joined the political wing, BJP. He was the party's Lok Sabha member in 1999 from Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), but he lost the polls in 2004 from Gwalior by a very narrow margin. He stoutly defended the VHP and the Bajrang Dal in the March 2002 Ramjanmabhoomi campaign when all BJP leaders were disassociating themselves from the VHP. He defied all party and government orders and went to Ayodhya in March 2002.
