The Sheilas

The Sheilas

The Sheilas are a pop girl group who found fame with Stock Aitken Waterman, after they were featured in an advertising campaign for the car insurance company Sheilas' Wheels.

The Sheilas are Emma Robbins, Carly Romain and Cathi Ogden. Their name comes from the female orientated insurance company Sheilas' Wheels; which in turn takes its name from Sheila, the Australian slang word for women. The group took the Sheila name, even though only Ogden is Australian [ [http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=476239&in_page_id=1773 Pete Waterman signs up stars of singalong Sheilas' Wheels advert] 18th August 2007, "The Daily Mail"] .

They released their debut single on September 24, 2007 called "(I'm So) Happy Happy (You're Mine)". The single was written by Mike Stock and co-produced by Stock and Pete Waterman for SAW Productions. It was a flop, peaking at #91 in the UK charts. The trio has also recorded at least three more tracks with SAW [ [http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a71638/pete-waterman-and-the-sheilas.html An Interview with Pete Waterman and The Sheilas] at DigitalSpy] .
