Kotowski Palace ( _pl. Pałac Kotowskich) was a 17th-century palace in
Warsaw ,Poland . It served as a main cloister building for sisters ofBenedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration .History
It was built some time between
1682 and1684 forAdam Kotowski and his wifeMałgorzata Durant . A large, threestoried baroque building inPalladian style was designed byTylman van Gameren . In1688 it was purchased by QueenMaria Kazimiera and transferred into a seat of Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.During the
Second World War , the building was used as a hospital. This made it a frequent target for bombing by the Germans in theWarsaw Uprising . The palace was completely destroyed and was never restored.References
