Katherine Waddell

Katherine B. Waddell (born June 16, 1938) is a Virginia politician who serves in the Virginia House of Delegates. She represents the 68th District, which includes portions of the City of Richmond and Chesterfield County.

Waddell, a former Republican, is currently serving her first term after defeating incumbent Republican Delegate Brad Marrs in the 2005 General Election by 42 votes. She ran in 2005 as a moderate, pro-choice alternative to the conservative Marrs and serves as one of 3 independents in the House of Delegates.

Waddell was defeated for re-election in the November 6, 2007 general election against Republican candidate G. Manoli Loupassi and William "Bill" Grogan, who ran as a independent but is the Attorney for the Independent Greens of Virginia [http://votejoinrun.us/_wsn/page8.html] .
