Northern air hospital radio

Northern air hospital radio

= Overview =

Northern Air is a hospital radio station that broadcasts, (for free) through the UK's PatientLine system, directly to the patients bedside throughout North Manchester General Hospital, Crumpsall, Manchester and Salford Royal, Eccles, Salford.

Broadcast Hours

The station broadcasts a mix of live and recorded shows 24/7. Generally the live shows go out between 7pm and 10pm, because it is manned entirely by volunteers who may well have "normal jobs" throughout the day. However, the breakfast show is often recorded the previous evening for the next morning - so that it is both fresh and topical.

Staffing

The station is manned entirely by volunteers.

Website

The current website is available [http://northernair.org.uk here] , however it is a little out of date and is in the process of being modernised. The contact numbers contained within it are still valid though.
