Christopher Hart is a best-selling author of illustrated art instruction books on cartooning, manga and other popular subjects. His books are geared toward children and teens, as well as adults who are interested cartoon art. He also has a line of books on more serious artistic studies, such as anatomy, figure drawing and animal drawing.
Christopher Hart has sold over 3 million books in the United States, which have been translated into more than 20 languages worldwide. For over two decades, he has been published by Watson-Guptill, the art imprint of Random House. His book, "Manga Mania: How to Draw Japanese Comics," was the number one art book in the country for an entire year, according to Nielsen Bookscan. He has had the number 1, 2, and 3 top selling art books in the nation, simultaneously, also according to Nielsen Bookscan. More recently, all three titles in his new series, "Manga For The Beginner," have climbed onto the Best-Seller list of Bookscan. All together, he has had 26 books reach Best-Seller status.
Hart also has his own show on the Comcast Network,on their Activity TV Station, entitled, "How To Draw Action Heroes With Chris Hart."
Education
Hart attended the California Institute of the Arts, graduated from New York University, and continued his art studies at the Paeir School of Art and the Silvermine School of Art.
