Railway gauges in Slovakia

Railway gauges in Slovakia. The rail gauge for most lines in Slovakia is standard or "European" gauge: 1435 mm.

Two lines connecting Ukraine are broad "Russian" gauged - 1520 mm:

* Užhorod - Maťovce - Haniska pri Košiciach
* Čop - Dobrá pri Čiernej nad Tisou

Some short lines are narrow gauged:

* Tatra Elelectrical Railways / Tatranské elektrické železnice (TEŽ) - 1 000 mm
** Poprad-Tatry - Starý Smokovec - Štrbské Pleso
** Tatranská Lomnica - Starý Smokovec
** Štrbské Pleso - Štrba (Rack Railway)
* Trenčianske Teplice' Electrical Railway / Trenčianskoteplická elektrická železnica (TREŽ) - 760 mm
** Trenčianske Teplice - Trenčianska Teplá
* Čierny Hron River Railway / Čiernohronská železnica (ČHŽ) - 760 mm
** Vydrovo dolina - Čierny Balog - Hronec - Chvatimech
* Orava-Kysuce Forrest Railway / Oravsko-kysucká lesná železnica (OKLŽ or HLÚŽ) - 760 mm
* Agricultural Museum Railway in Nitra - 760 mm
* Košice' Youth Railway / Košická mládežnícka železnica (KMŽ) - 1 000 mm
** Čermeľ - Alpínka
* Váh' River Forrest Railway / Považská lesná železnica (PLŽ) - 760 mm
** Pribylina
