William Og de Burgh

William Og de Burgh, also known as William fitz Richard Mor de Burgh, was a son of Richard Mor de Burgh. He was killed at the Battle of Athanchip by the Ua Conchobair's in 1270. He was survived by at least one son, Sir William de Burgh, also known as William Liath Burke, Warden of Ireland, who died in 1324.

William Og's main claim to fame is as the ancestor of the Mac William Iochtar, the leader of The Bourkes of Mayo.
