Jonathan Falwell

Jonathan Pate Falwell (born 1966) is the senior pastor at the Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is the son and successor of the late Reverend Jerry Falwell, and the brother of Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. His mother is Macel Pate Falwell. Rev. Falwell earned his B.S. from Liberty University in 1987. He earned his M.A. in Religion from the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996. He earned his J.D. in 2005 from William Howard Taft University in Santa Ana, California.

In addition to inheriting his father's pastor position, Jonathan Falwell has continued his father's weekly column, "Listen America", on various Web sites including NewsMax and WorldNetDaily.

Jonathan hosts a weekly television show called "Main Street Today" where he interviews people from all walks of life and discuss how their belief in God has influenced and molded their lives.

In December 2007, he endorsed former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination. He said that he believed his father would have backed Huckabee had he lived. Falwell's decision came after he invited Huckabee to address students at Liberty University.

Falwell is married to Shari and has four children. He lives in Lynchburg, VA.
