The Deadly Syndrome is an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California, and known for their exuberant live shows.

Biography

The band was formed in 2006 by four aspiring young musicians: guitarist William Etling, drummer Jesse Hoy, keyboardist and drummer Michael Hughes and vocalist Christopher Richard. In 2006, after just weeks on the Los Angeles club scene, The Deadly Syndrome was signed to the record label Dim Mak Records, owned by Steve Aoki.

Immediately after being signed to Dim Mak, the band began working on its debut album, "The Ortolan", which was released worldwide on Sept. 11, 2007 and produced by Nico Aglietti and Airin Older of the band Sugarcult.
