Eric Joseph Poole

Eric Joseph Poole (born: Northwich, Cheshire, England - died: ) was a building contractor and a Canadian federal politician.

Political career

Poole first ran for the Canadian House of Commons in the 1935 Canadian federal election as a Social Credit candidate. He defeated incumbent Member of Parliament Alfred Speakman. Poole served 1 term in opposition before retiring in 1940.

Poole enlisted in in the Canadian Armed Forces joining the Army in World War II. He ran as a candidate in the 1944 Alberta general election in the service men vote held in January 1945.
