Life

He was a clerk of Ranulf of Wareham by 18 July 1220. [http://british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=34334 British History Online Prebends of Chichester] accessed on 21 October 2007] By 1232 he was a canon of Chichester Cathedral and was named Archdeacon of Chichester by December of 1242. [http://british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=34301 British History Online Archdeacons of Chichester] accessed on 21 October 2007] He was then Chancellor of Chichester by 17 July 1247 as well as rector of Climping. [http://british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=34297 British History Online Chancellors of Chichester] accessed on 21 October 2007] He was elected to the see of Chichester on 20 May 1253, and consecrated on 11 January 1254Fryde "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 239] at Canterbury.

He died on 18 May 1262.
