Água de Pau (volcano) .Água de Pau is a parish in the district of Lagoa in theAzores . The population in2001 is 3,122, its density is 179.1/km² and the area is 17.43 km². It is the third-largest and the second leastly populated parish in Lagoa. It is also the largest in Lagoa.*Location:

History
Água de Pau is one of the many oldest villages in the Azores, it became a parish on July 28, 1500.
The island was destroyed in the Earthquake of 1522, it was rebuilt on
November 10 ,1525 .Água de Pau became a municipality on
July 28 ,1515 , fifteen years after its founding for carta régia of Don Manuel I. The councul was located outside inRibeira Chã . In 1855, the municipality became a parish as Água de Pau incorporated into Lagoa under the Regional Legislative Decree #29/2003/A, onJune 24 , the parish of Água de Pau.External links
