Kot Najibullah is a town on the old silk route in
Haripur District ,Pakistan with a population of approximately 20,000 people. It is a historical village which was formally the village of Daulat Abad. There is no evidence of its name. Kot Najibullah means "Fort of Najibullah". It is the one of the oldest economic centres of Haripur. It is 15 KM away from Haripur, Pakistan|Haripur, 65 KM fromIslamabad .Kot Najibullah is famous for its Hattar Industrial Estate, 2 KM from Kot Najibullah. Former Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Fakhar-e-Alam also belongs to Kot Najibullah. Sardar Muhmmad Mushtaq Khan (Advocate) former member of provincial assembly and current Member of National assembly belongs to Kot Najibullah. Government High School is very old school and played a vital role in educating people of Haripur and nearby districts. Sardar family was the local rulers and land lords. Main mosque of Muqadam built by sardar family in 1870 rebuilt in 2005 on same foot print. Village has its own railway station on Havalian-Rawalpindi Railway Line. Police Station and small Hospital is ALSO THERE.Nadeem akhtar s/o master abdul rehman belongs to this city during Iraq,Kuwait war he serve as a Nurse saved 108 people which was injured during bobm atack.
