Blessed Trinity RC College is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school in Burnley, Lancashire, England, with specialist status as a Humanities College and Sports College.
History
The school opened in September 2006 as part of the first wave of a nationwide 10-15 year programme of capital investment funded by the Department for Education and Skills called [http://www.bsf.gov.uk Building Schools for the Future] . It occupies the sites of the former St Hilda's RC Girls' High School and Habergham High School Sixth Form; its new buildings, scheduled for completion in 2010, will be on the former St Theodore's site.
Attainment
In 2007, 45% of Year 11 students achieved 5 A*-C GCSE passes including English Language and Mathematics (national average 46.7%). The school's value-added measure was 1006.7 (national average 1000).
