Martin Bunzl (born 1948, United Kingdom) is the director of the Initiative on Climate and Social Policy at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. He edited, with Anthony Appiah, Buying Freedom: The Ethics and Economics of Slave Redemption. His other books include Real History (1997), and The Context of Explanation (1993).
Martin Bunzl received his PhD from the University of Minnesota. He spent 2000-2001 at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute in Israel.
His articles include "Counterfactual History: A User's Guide", published in the American Historical Review.
