Girlfriend is the first half of episode #1.11 of the animated television series Dave the Barbarian

Plot

Dave goes to the local library for a book on poetry by "Ped X-ing" (a joke derived from the words Pedestrian Crossing) only to discover that it has already been checked out. Dave discovers that it is in the possession of a beautiful young woman by the name of Princess Irmoplotz. In addition to sharing a love for the poetry of Ped X-ing, both develop rashes from daisies and love making macramé owls.

The two fall in love and begin dating, but Dave's good nature conflicts with Irmoplotz's villainy. Although Dave attempts to be evil and Irmoplotz attempts to be good in an effort to make the relationship work, ultimately, their differences prove irreconcilable, and Dave breaks up with Irmoplotz.

In revenge, Irmoplotz sends an army of indestructible pixies to make Udrogoth dirty. Dave using a squirel attached to a megaphone handily drives off the pixies by forcing them to listen to the poetry of Ped X-ing that he wrote himself.

A defeated Iramplotz confronts Dave on how he found such bad ped x-ing, Dave tells her he wrote it himself and the two hint that they still have feelings for each other. Irmaplotz leaves Dave with a book on ped x-ing to remember her by...but the last page is missing.

At the very end, Dave address the audience who are wondering why he attached the squirrel to the megaphone...with the words "Thank you, goodbye!" and a big smile. Lula tells the viewers to stay in school.
