Julian Eggebrecht

Julian Eggebrecht is president and creative director of Factor 5, a video game developer located in Marin County, California, with additional R&D offices in Cologne, Germany.

Eggebrecht founded Factor 5 in Germany in 1989 and moved the company to California in 1996 for the purpose of closer working with their largest partner, LucasArts.

He was a technology partner in the development of the Nintendo Gamecube and Wii consoles, and was a member of the Sony PS3 Edge toolset group. He and teams from his company have pioneered many technological advancements in Audio and Visuals in video games with collaboration with Dolby Labs, THX, and AMD/ATI.

His games include Turrican, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Indiana Jones, International Superstar Soccer Deluxe, and Contra. He served on the board of the IGDA and has been a board member of the Game Developers Conference since 1999. He just completed work on the PS3 exclusive game Lair.
