National Highway No. 4 is a freeway, which begins in Qingshui, Taichung on the Provincial Highway No. 17. and ends in Fengyuan District on the Provincial Highway No. 3.

Completed in November 2001.

There is a plan to extend the route from Fengyuan End south to Xinshe, Taichung, Dakeng (in Taichung City), and Taiping District. It will connect to National Highway No. 3 in Wufeng, Taichung.
