He came up through Bury's youth system and was one of three youth players chosen to play for the first team and sign a contract in 2007/08 afer scoring 14 goals in 26 youth and reserve games during 2006/07.

Jordan scored his first senior goal during Nuneaton's match against Tamworth on 10 November 2007. On completion of his month-long loan, Stepien signed an extension at Nuneaton for another month and is now there until the end of the season.On 6th June 2008, Stepien signed a contract with UniBond Premier League side Leigh Genesis.
