Simplicato

Simplicato was formed in 2001. The company was formally apart of Conquer Corp. Both companies were founded by Ram Tanamy. Conquer Corp offered internet services and consulting services to customers like CNBC.

In 2000, in recognition that email would eventually become the most used application on the internet, Mr. Tanamy made a strategic decision to focus on email hosting services. At about the same time Mr. Tanamy recognized the IMAP protocol had more potential than the older POP3 protocol and was less costly alternative to using a Microsoft Exchange solution, therefore subsequently positioned the company’s products and services in support of the IMAP.

In 2004, Simplicato launch Backaway email archiving. Mr. Tanamy’s experience in the Wall Street community, gave insight into the trend that eventually push email into the premier vehicle of delivering corporate communication. His experience helped him to engineer a product that met the requirements of the financial community, and that was simple to use.
