Ross Ongaro

Ross Ongaro, born September 9 1959, is an Edmonton native whose playing career included caps with Canada's Men's Olympic and Youth Teams, and professional experience with the Edmonton Drillers in the North American Soccer League (NASL), the Cleveland Force and Memphis Americans of the Major Indoor Soccer League, the Edmonton Eagles of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (where he was the league's top scorer), and Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer League.

His coaching experience began as a Player - Assistant Coach with the Edmonton Brickmen (WSA/CSL) from 1985 to 1987. From 1996 to 2000, Ongaro served as the head coach of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) version of the Edmonton Drillers where he earned Head Coach of the Year honours two years in a row.

Ongaro was recently named to the position of National Coach for the Canadian National Futsal programme in 2003.
