-
Gordon Rausser is a Professor of Agriculture and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He is an economist that has served on the Council of Economic advisors under President Ronald Reagan. He is known for his work in public and natural resource economics, and has many articles and works to his credit.
On a personal note, in a 2009 audio interview Rausser attributes his interest in resource economics to his childhood spent growing up on a dairy farm. At the age of 5, he was responsible for the care of calves born on the farm, which gave him the opportunity to learn about the choices and consequences involved in raising animals.[1]
Rausser is Editor of the Annual Review of Resource Economics.
