- Guan Linzheng
Guan Linzheng (關麟徵) was a Chinese general in the
Kuomintang and recipient of theOrder of Blue Sky and White Sun .General
Guan Linzheng commanded the 25th Division in the fighing at theGubeikou Pass against the Japanese during theDefense of the Great Wall in March and April 1933. OnJuly 17 ,1935 he was made the 23rd recipient of the of the Order of Blue Sky and White Sun.Guan retained command of the 25th Division until 1937, and it was made one of the new Reorganized
NRA Division s following the training guidelines of German advisors. Following the outbreak of war with Japan again in 1937 he was promoted to commander of 52nd Corps and fought in theBeiping–Hankou Railway Operation from August 1937 to October 1937. Guan's Corps then joinedTang Enbo 's 20th Army from October to January 1938. In 1938 he was given command of 32nd Corps. Shortly afterward in 1938 he was promoted again, to acting commander of 15th Army and as such fought in the First Changsha Campaign. In 1939 Guan's 15th Army was made 15th Army Group and participated in the1939 Winter Offensive . His command was made official in 1940 and then he was given command of 9th Army Group which he then held to the end of the War.Sources
