University fair

Due to the competition of universities throughout the world, and the need of prospective students to meet and find out more about different universities before applying, many universities give candidates the chance to meet them face-to-face at university fairs.

Open Days

A university open day is an event held by the university in question, on their campus. They will be represented by members from various faculties throughout the university, and offer the chance for prospective students to get a feel for the variety of study options, as well as the social activities and societies on offer at their institution.

Students will get the chance to attend talks and workshops on subjects of interest to give a better idea of what the courses entail. Many university open day will be lead by current students.

Universities will advertise the details and dates of their open days on their websites, and these will usually coincide these to fall in line with application dates each year.

Fairs

A university fair is an event at which many universities will exhibit, and is usually organised by a third party organisation. The majority of these fairs have a domestic focus, although with the growing trend for study abroad, international fairs are now emerging, at which universities from around the world exhibit.

There will be seminars and workshops on a variety of topics relating to university study, from admissions to university rankings, and the chance to speak to admissions officers from universities.

IEFT International Education Fairs of Turkey

Leading education providers convene in Turkey each spring and fall to meet thousands of qualified students to endorse their institutions and participate in networking events at IEFT organized education exhibitions that focus on promoting education abroad.

A2 Fairs

International student recruitment fairs in Turkey, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and Morocco. 240 institutions from around the world promote their universities at the events.

British Council

The British Council promote UKuniversities at events in countries around the world.

European Higher Education Fair (EHEF)

Academic institutions and higher education organisations from around Europe present their study programs especially tailored for international study and information on other study abroad related issues.

The fairs take place in seven counties – Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, , China and Indonesia – for students interested in studying in Europe.

Linden

Linden promotes US universities to international students. It runs both Fall and Spring tours. Representatives from US universities visit Latin America, Asia, India and Sri Lanka, Asia, and the Middle East. Many of these are run or sponsored by Education USA.

QS World Grad School Tour

This series of fairs focus on international study abroad, worldwide. Universities from all over the world participate in fairs in 40 cities around the world - in Latin America, North America, Europe, East Asia and South Asia. They take place once a year from August to December. Entry is free.

The fairs focus on postgraduate studies – Masters degree and PhD programs, and feature workshops on admissions and the THES - QS World University Rankings.

The Go Abroad Fair

Opporunities for Canadian students to expand their horizons through study abroad, work and volunteer opportunities, cultural programs and overseas travel adventure. Admission is free. Educational focus is on universities, colleges and technical institutes from around the world, offering full-degree, diploma, professional and short-term programs. The fairs take place in Toronto and Vancouver in September.

RECRUIT in CANADA

Universities from the USA, UK, Australia, Switzerland and other countries participate in this fair held every fall in Toronto.This year's fairs will run September 13, 14, 15th. The Graduate School Fair will take place first on the 13th, followed by two days of Undergraduate Fairs and Counsellors Events, September 14th and 15th .
