Jamestown, New York . Theoldies outlet is owned byMedia One Group and operates at 1340 kHz.WKSN, formerly WJTN's rival, signed on in 1948 as "WJOC". Most recently WKSN ("Kissin' Oldies") was an oldies outlet carrying a local morning show and a midday show by Paul Hoefler (now performing commercial jingles in the area), as well the satellite "
Good Time Oldies " fromJones Radio Networks until it was bought out by Media One in 2003.WKSN was a primarily syndicated
talk radio operation prior toJuly 4 ,2008 , with shows such asRush Limbaugh (counterprogrammed to a liberal program known as "The Hall Closet" on WJTN),Bill Bennett ,Dr. Dean Edell andGlenn Beck , as well as affiliations withTalk Radio Network andFOX Sports Radio . With the change to oldies (and "The Hall Closet"'s discontinuation), Edell, Beck andEd Schultz were moved to WJTN, although Rush Limbaugh (for business reasons) was dropped from the market altogether.WKSN is an affiliate of Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel. WKSN is also affiliated with the
Buffalo Sabres and theNFL on Westwood One .Jamestown Jammers away games were heard on WKSN for many years but no longer air anywhere on Jamestown radio.External links
