Yagami Toll & The Blue Sky was a side-project started by the
BUCK-TICK drummer Yagami Toll in 2004. It consists of himself as drummer and vocalist,The Blue Sky & theOptical Surfers on bass, guitar, keyboards, and also on vox withSUZU ,Maiku (also called 'Papa Maiku') & many other friends.Only one album has been released entitled
1977/Blue Sky (July 28, 2004). The album is said to be a highly personal album. Toll's inspiration being his other brother, who died in a motorcycle accident in May 1977.Toll was inspired at an early age by classic rock such as
The Beatles ,Creedence Clearwater Revival , andDeep Purple . Toll held drum clinics in Japan in the summer of 1999. He has also played on the album 'Super Rock Summit ~Tengoku He No Kaidan~ ', performing the song "Hot Dog" (tribute album forJohn Bonham ofLed Zeppelin ).
