Philippines . According to the2007 census, it has a population of 60,755 people in a land area of 100.2 square kilometers.Although Indang is a small municipality, it is starting to be developed. Now, fast-food restaurants such as Jollibee, have been opened up.
Indang has a public market, or palengke, where goods such as vegetables, seafood, meat, and household items are sold. One palengke is located in Poblacion 4.
A British village and formerly British school have been established in Barangay Calumpang Lejos, Cavite.
History
Indang (originally called Indan) was established as a town in 1655, when it was administratively separated from the nearby town of Silang. The name "Indan" was derived from the Tagalog word "indang" or "inrang", a tree which grew there.
