November 9 ,1931 inBlitar ,East Java in theDutch East Indies (present dayIndonesia ). He married his wife, Soetarlinah, who was apsychologist . Sukadji was an avidjogger , according to theJakarta Post .Sukadji began his career as the head of the accounting and budget division at the Indonesian state
railroad company,PT KAI , from 1957 until 1959. Following his work at the railroad Sukadji became a lecturer at theNational Resilience Institute . He also served as an assistant the Indonesian trade ministry.Sukadji served as dean of the
economics department ofGadjah Mada University before he was appointed president of the school in 1973. He served as president of Gadjah Mada University, which is located inYogyakarta , until 1981.Sukadji died on
August 11 ,2007 . A viewing was held atBalairung Hall located at Gadjah Mada University, according to the head of the university'spublic relations department, Suryo Baskoro. Sukadji was buried at Gadjah Mada University's school burial grounds atKawansan Sawitsari ,Sleman .External links
