Sir Arthur Forwood, 1st Baronet

Sir Arthur Bower Forwood, 1st Baronet PC (23 June 1836-27 September 1898), was a British merchant and Conservative politician.

Forwood was returned to Parliament for Ormskirk in 1885, a seat he held until his death, and served under Lord Salisbury as Parliamentary and Financial Secretary to the Admiralty from 1886 to 1892. He was admitted to the Privy Council in 1892 and created a Baronet, of The Priory, Gateacre, in Childwall in the County Palatine of Lancaster, in 1895.

Forwood died in September 1898, aged 62.
