"Spinning Jenny", a literary magazine founded in 1994 and first printed in 1995, primarily publishes poetry by emerging writers. Published annually by Black Dress Press, a small independent publisher in New York City, the magazine is edited by founder C.E. Harrison and designed by Adam B. Bohannon. Distributed to the trade by Bernhard DeBoer, "Spinning Jenny" belongs to the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses and has received funding from the New York State Council on the Arts.
The most recent issue of "Spinning Jenny" contains contributions by Stephanie Anderson, Cristiana Baik, Hugh Behm-Steinberg, Graeme Bezanson, Tina Cane, Tom Christopher, Darin Ciccotelli, Julia Cohen, Molly Dorozenski, Suzanne M. There is nothing about this truly unique journal that is vaguely normal or staid; each issue presents a challenge with the most basic of clues, hints to work with.
