- List of Vice Presidents of the Republic of Texas
The Vice Presidents of the Republic of Texas (1836-1846) were elected by the people of Texas during the period of the Republic of Texas. These men were first in line to succeed the President of Texas upon his death, resignation, or removal. As designated by the Constitution of the Republic of Texas, the vice president also served as the President of the Senate, and could break tie votes in that chamber.
