Avignon TGV

Gare d'Avignon TGV is a new passenger station, built on the LGV Méditerranée high-speed train line in South-eastern France. It is located a few kilometres south of Avignon town centre. Avignon itself is in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France.

This station, inaugurated in 2001, was designed by the cabinet of architecture of the SNCF under the direction of Jean-Marie Duthilleul and Jean-François Blassel.

It is served by French SNCF TGV services to Paris Gare de Lyon, Gare de Lille-Europe, Nîmes, Marseille St. Charles & Lyon etc..

Also in the summer there is a summer Saturday-morning direct Eurostar service to/from London using one of its French quad-current sets for the various catenaries required en route to London St. Pancras. Thalys also provide services to Belgium in the summer.
