For better understanding, this Act has been divided into 3 main parts – Part I: Patents (Ss. 3 to 42), Part II: Designs (Ss. 43 to 54), Part III: General (Ss. 55 to 81). This Act extends to the whole of Bangladesh and come into force from the 1st January, 1912. It mainly provides some definitions relating to this Act, i.e. definitions of ‘Attorney General’, ‘Copyright’, ‘Design’, ‘Patent’, ‘Manufacture’ etc.
