Club career
On 29 January 2010 it was announced that Aksalu had signed for Sheffield United on a two and a half year deal after a successful trial with the club. Kevin Blackwell stated in the interview that he has the potential to be Estonia's Number one, and he was the best goalkeeper trialist he'd seen.[1] The following season, after failing to break into the first team, he signed a two month loan deal with Mansfield Town.[2] During his time at Mansfield Town, he played two league matches and one FA Cup match. He was unable to play more matches due to a stomach problem. He returned to Bramall Lane on 8 December 2010.[3]
