Lewis Schiff

Lewis Schiff (born 1969) is currently a Senior Managing Principal of the Advanced Planning Group, where he leads a team of private wealth experts who specialize in the needs of high-net-worth clients globally.

Schiff’s most recent book, The Middle Class Millionaire: The Rise of the New Rich and How They are Changing America (Doubleday), written with Russ Alan Prince, chronicles the evolution of America’s middle-class over the last twenty years, and at how a portion of the middle-class is pulling away from the rest by amassing significant wealth.

A longtime contributor to CNNMoney.com and CNNfn, Schiff currently writes a monthly column in "Investment Advisor" magazine. He is also a contributor to TheStreet.com, and maintains a blog about the changing demographic of the middle class millionaire for InvestmentAdvisor.com. Schiff was a Founding Principal of CEG Worldwide.

Schiff founded the Armchair Millionaire website in 1997. One of the first online communities where people came together to share their stories of investing success, the website was one of the fastest growing sites of the iVillage network for several years.1

In 2001, Schiff’s first book, "The Armchair Millionaire" (Simon & Schuster) was published based on the website’s philosophy, that investing intelligently requires little more than common sense, discipline, patience and a goal-oriented mentality.

He lives in New York City with his wife Lynette and son Jacob.
