Robert was a dab hander at cricketHe was an opening bowler and batted around the number 8 spot

on the 12 of July 2003, Robert Made his cricketing Debut against Hartford taking one wicket and getting out on just 2 runsthis forced Robert to up his game if he had any chance on making it into the big time.Robert trained all day every weekend bowling and batting and soon saw himself as one of the best cricketers at the club

At just 11 Years old he was a regular in the Under 13s team and also made Cameos in the Mens XI

All the younger generation looked up to Robert as an inspiration, from what he came from to what he had become. Matters of the cricketing pitch meant Robert was getting closer to his team mates making lots of friends and socializing better.

2004 was a big year for the 12 year old, Everybody in Roberts Hometown then saw Robert as a superstar boys wanted to be like him and women wanted to be with him. Life was Great for Robert. Robert grew from strength to strength on and off the pitch. His name was regularly printed in the Local papers for his great cricketing performances. Every Sunday he gave 100% effort and it soon paid off taking his team from a newly established club to a force to be reckoned with.

Robert was very well know by every player at every club on the cricketing front. Robert was an icon. Lots of young players asked him for help on cricketing matters and Robert was only to happy to oblige.

2005 was THE year Roberts cricketing year really began to shoot up. The 13 year old cricketing sensation was well and truly the face of cricket. He won countless medals and trophies Including the Biggie. Player of the year. 2005 was a fantastic year to be Robert James Lawton. However, Robert was led astray in years 2006 and 2007 as Girls came onto the scene and Robert began mixing with the wrong crowd. His Cricketing coach saw the changes in Roberts attitude, instead of being interested in a cricket bat and Pokemon he was into Blue vain Cigars and Poker. Robert tried to Balance both his cricketing career and his Wild social life, But it was too hard,

On 19th of October 2007 Robert was accused of sleeping with a 13 year old girl and taking drugs.The Claims however came to a sudden Holt when it was found out that the claims were untrue and just a rumour. Robert, who now was 15 had more important things on his mind than cricket and it was fortunate it was the off season, Although Robert was agreeable to a new 3 year deal that would keep him at the club until he was 18 years of age. In the off season He trained like a man possessed.

He gave up all his bad habits left the lads to do their own thing and got over the girls and was ready to become an icon once again, He was 100% ready for the next season and every single player at every club sat up at took notice. The old Robert was back and this time he was Bigger, Better and Stronger.

With 2008 upon us and the new season just around the corner Roberts comeback match was on the 19th of May he had impressed in training and everybody was confident Robert could rekindle his old form

on Thursday the 12th of May 2008, Robert had a horrific fall at his workplace onto a broken slate, This forced Robert to retire from his local cricket club at just 15
