Advocate A.P Udayabhanu ex-MLA(October 1, 1915 - December 15, 1999) was an Indian freedom fighter from the State of
Kerala . He was from the famous "AlummoottilChannar ", anEzhava , family of Muttom near Haripad of CentralTravancore . He was a prominent leader fromIndian National Congress (then Travancore state congress) worked as its state president as well. He was elected to theTravancore Legislative Assembly twice, in 1944 and 1948, onIndian National Congress ticket. He had worked as chief-editors of many newspapers includingMathrubhumi .Contribution to Malayalam literature
He is also known for his
Malayalam essays which were simple, touchy and humorous, and "Enteyum Katha Alpam" is his auto biography.Awards
