William Thomas Lougheed Lucas (born:
July 26 ,1875 Bailieboro, Ontario - died: ) was a farmer and a Canadian federal politician.Lucas was first elected to the
Canadian House of Commons in the 1921 Canadian federal election as aUnited Farmers of Alberta candidate. He defeated 2 other candidates including former Alberta MLAJames Bismark Holden in a landslide where he captured 81% of the vote to win his 1st term in office.His electoral district would be abolished due to redistribution and he would run for re-election in the new Camrose riding in the 1925 Canadian federal election. He would defend his incumbency less then a year later when the minority government fell apart and be re-elected to a 3rd term in the 1926 Canadian federal election he defeated Liberal candidate Donald McIvor. McIvor and Lucas would face each other again in the 1930 Canadian federal election he would be re-elected increasing his margin of victory over McIvor. Lucas would be defeated in the 1935 Canadian federal election by Social Credit candidate
