Vesna Pusić

Vesna Pusić (born March 25, 1953, Zagreb, Croatia, Yugoslavia) is a member of Croatian Parliament and a main speaker of the opposition Croatian People's Party - Liberal Democrats in the Parliament.

Pusić is known as an outspoken liberal, one of the most recognizable women in the Croatian Parliament (Sabor). She is a professor of Sociology at the University of Zagreb and an editor of the journal "Erasmus." She formally resides in Zagreb with her husband and daughter. She was elected vice-president of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party (ELDR) in 2005.

Her brother Zoran Pusić is also the head of the Civic Committee for Human Rights, an NGO in Zagreb.
