Tudor began his career at hometown club Wolves coming through the youth ranks before signing professional in 1999. He made just one appearance for Wolves before he joined then
Football League Two side Cambridge United. Tudor spent 4 seasons at Cambridge where he performed well making nearly 150 appearance in all competitions scoring 25 goals. Unfortunately at the end of the 2004–05 season, Cambridge were relegated to theConference National despite Tudor being one of their better players. During the close season he signed for Leyton Orient on a 2 year deal to remain in the football league. His first season with them was a success as he scored 5 goal from his right wing position as they were promoted toLeague One . His second season in the capital saw Leyton Orient retain theirLeague One status with Tudor the main fixture on the right wing playing 36 times and scoring twice. Towards the end of the 2006/07 campaign he informed O's bossMartin Ling that he would not be signing a new contract as he wanted to move back to his midlands roots.On
14 May ,2007 he signed for fellowLeague One side Port Vale on a 2 year contract. He struggled to maintain his place in the side, only making 14 league appearances in his first season as well as being sent out on loan to Shrewsbury Town, where he failed to make any appearance at all.Shane also made a comment which stirred things up when coming on as an 85 minuet sub in the 4-1 defeat against Macclesfield Town his comment was "No disrespect to them, but they’re a s*** club and the fans have paid £15 to see us beaten by them 4-1. "Look at the size of us to them and it’s a million miles away, like comparing Man United to Crewe." Shane and Port Vale latter apologised. After coming back from injury he was picked in the starting XI to play Notts County where he was easyly the fans favoutite player at the time. They booed now manager Dean Glover chanting "You dont know what your doing" showing a telling sign that he is back with a bang.
