State Quality Mark of the USSR

State Quality Mark of the USSR ( _ru. Государственный знак качества СССР, translit. Znak kachestva GOST) was the official Soviet mark for the certification of quality established in 1967.

It was used to mark the consumer goods and production and technical goods to ensure their high quality and, in general, to increase the effectiveness of production system in USSR.

It was applied directly on the goods or their packing, as well as in the accompanying documentation, labels or tags.

The right to use it was leased to the enterprises for 2-3 years based on the State Attestation results.

Rules of its use were defined by GOST 1.9-67 (April 7, 1967).
