Hough, Cheshire

Hough is a village (at SJ 712 509) and civil parish in the Crewe and Nantwich district of Cheshire, England. The village is located 3 miles to the south of Crewe and 4 miles to the east of Nantwich. The parish also includes part of the settlement of Goodalls Corner. The village has a public house, the White Hart, [ [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/431078 Geograph: White Hart at Hough] (accessed 14 August 2007)] and a Primitive Methodist Chapel. The A500 formerly ran through the parish, but now has been diverted to bypass it to the north. The Crewe–Stafford railway line runs north–south immediately to the east of the parish.
