"Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai" is a Hindi television serial that airs on Zee TV from July 16, 2007. It is based on the story of 3 girls: Prarthna, Sidhhi, and Sanskriti. Even though they all have different lives and a different outlook of life, destiny is not always on their side, and when the unexpected happens their dreams, hopes and desires come crashing down.

Concept

First, the story focuses on the character of Prarthna- an orphan by birth. Her only desire is to get arranged-married in a happy joint family. nurtured by her tauji and taiji, Prarthna hopes that one day she will walk in a house that is full of warmth and love just they way she has been brought up.

In addition to the life of Prarthna, har ghar kuch kehta hai is also a story of Sidhhi- Prarthna’s cousin sister. She is a vibrant, independent girl who has lived abroad most of her life. Siddhi cant understand the concept of an arrange-marriage and neither can she tolerate being surrounded by people. She believes that one must marry his/her true love, and she thinks that if she will get married, it will be only her and her love.

Besides that the story is also based on the life of Sanskriti- a model by profession and very straightforward and blunt in her attitude. Sanskriti can't understand the concept of marriage at all! She doesn’t believe that a marriage can hold two people stronger than love can. She vouches for a live-in relation!
