Gary Matthews (born in
Dublin in 1967) was an Irishsoccer player and was formerly goalkeeping coach for Bohemians in the League of Ireland and for the seniorDublin GAA team.Matthews was a goalkeeper who played for Athlone Town, Kilkenny City,
St. Francis F.C. , Longford Town and Bohemians amongst others during his career. He appeared for Francis in their epicFAI Cup campaign of 1990 when the then non-league club reached the Cup Final before losing to Bray Wanderers [http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/archive/1990/0514/Pg019.html#Ar01901:2EA4903074A622E49D2664B2] . He was also capped at youth level by the Republic of Ireland.He became goalkeeping coach at Bohs when
