Olympic medal record World Championship Gold 1974 East Germany Team Men's Handball Silver 1976 Montreal Team Mircea Grabovschi (born December 22, 1952 in Sighişoara) is a former Romanian handball player.
He won the gold medal in the 1974 World Men's Handball Championship in 1974 and the silver medal in the 1976 Summer Olympics as part of the Romanian handball team, having played all five matches and scoring 18 goals.
He used to play for Dinamo Bucharest.
He played 199 matches for the national team and scored 544 goals.[1]
Grabovschi is an avid bridge player.[2]
In 2009, he was given the award of Cetățean de onoare ("Honorary Citizen") of his hometown, Sighișoara.[3]
